Mechanism of Action

The active substance of such soil herbicide as DoubleTry k.e. - metolachlor - is characterized by high herbicidal activity in relation to annual cereal and some dicotyledonous weeds. Metolachlor acts on sprouting weeds. The active substance of the preparation penetrates with the fabric of pips. The preparation actively thwarts the development and division of cells due to lipid metabolism. As a result of metolachlor action, weed germs stop growing and die.

Most Sensitive weeds:

panic grass (various species), green foxtail grass (Setaria viridis), yellow-foxtail grass, hooked/rough bristle grass (Setaria verticillata), hairy crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis), horizontal finger grass, annual koeleria, chickweed satin flower (Stellaria media), field mustard (Sinapis), common barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli), small-flower galinsoga (Galinsoga parviflora).

Middle-sensitive weeds:

White amaranth, common amaranth, blindweed (Capsella bursa pastoris), common purslane (Portulaca oleracea), green valley grass, Aleppo grass (Sorghum halepense).

Persistent weeds:

White pigweed (Chenopodium album), field mustard, curltop lady's thumb, common buckwheat
