Mechanism of Action

PARACELSUS is a universal systemic contact fungicide of protective and curative action. The active substance of the preparation - flutriafol - is rapidly absorbed by the leaf surface of the culture, transferred acropetally from the base to the top and begins to act immediately after application. It acts as an inhibitor of biosynthesis of nutrients of harmful fungal species, which leads to the destruction of cellular membranes of pathogens of diseases and stops their development. System and contact action are supplemented by a fumigative effect. The solution, evaporating, forms a fumigation cloud that covers the entire plant.

Recommendations for Use

Application Features

It is used in the period of vegetation when the first signs of the disease appear. When cereals are protected, the maximum effect is achieved when applied at the beginning of the leaf tube-formation and repeatedly in order to prolong the protective action – within the interval between the appearance of the flag leaf and the beginning of ear formation. In the latter case, two upper leaves will be protected, the intensity of the pouring of grain depends on the state of which. In the case of sugar beets, they should be first treated when the first signs of the disease (the beginning of the closure of rows) appear, secondly - as needed if the signs of disease will appear again (at intervals of 3-4 weeks).

Compatibility

The preparation is compatible with the most preparations other than alkaline ones. However, in each particular case, a compatibility test is required to be done.
