The preparation controls the weeds resistant to other herbicides (for instance, black nightshade (Solanum nigrum).

The preparation prevents resistance to preparations from the sulfonylureas group.

The rapid and prolonging effect that prevents the emergence of the next wave of weeds.

The preparation can be used at different stages of culture and weeds development.

Mechanism of Action

Mesotrione blocks the effect of an important plant enzyme and prevents the formation of carotenoids in weed plants. Without carotenoids, light energy and by-products of photosynthesis destroy chlorophyll and cellular membranes. As a result, there is a rapid discolouration of leaves, followed by necrosis and loss of weeds. Such active ingredient as mesotrione quickly penetrates the plant through the leaves, roots and shoots, and causes the growth of sensitive weeds to stop for 1-2 days after application and complete destruction for 2 weeks.

РRecommendations for Use

Application Features

Spraying should be done at an air temperature range from + 8˚С to + 25˚С and the wind speed not higher than 3 m / sec at small-drop spraying and 4 m / sec at large-drop spraying. After using the preparation, in the autumn of the same year it is permitted to sow winter wheat and barley, ryegrass, as well as winter rape after ploughing. Next spring after the ploughing it is permitted to sow sunflower, soya, sorghum, rape, alfalfa. Sensitive cultures (beets, peas) can be sown in 18 months after the preparation was applied.

Compatibility

The preparation is permitted to be used in tank mixtures along with most pesticides; however, prior to doing this, it is required to make a test mixing. It is not recommended to mix the preparation with pesticides, which form a strongly alkaline environment. The herbicide can be entered into the soil with mineral fertilizers and herbicides, but for the latter, it is recommended to test whether they are compatible or not, before

Precautions in Use

The distance from the sanitary (buffer) zone to inhabited localities, livestock complexes, places for manual operations, reservoirs and recreation areas should not be less than 300 m.
