A locally systemic fungicide with protective and curative action for controlling a complex of diseases
Prothioconazole inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol — a key component of the pathogen's cell membrane — by blocking the enzyme C14-demethylase, which leads to the destruction of the fungal cell wall. Boscalid blocks the enzyme succinate dehydrogenase in the pathogen's mitochondria, disrupting cellular respiration. The combination of the two modes of action ensures a rapid halt of disease development and a long-lasting protective effect.
