A systemic soil herbicide for controlling annual grass and broadleaf weeds in the main agricultural crops.

Advantages

  • The synergy of two active ingredients ensures effective control of the main weeds.
  • A prolonged protective period.
  • No carryover effect or resistance.

Characteristics

Active ingredient content
S-Metolachlor, 312.5 g/l + Terbuthylazine, 187.5 g/l
Chemical group
chloroacetamides, triazines
Formulation
suspension concentrate
WHO classification
Class III (moderately hazardous)

Recommendations for use

Application features
The product application rate is adjusted depending on the soil texture and humus content. On heavy loamy soils and soils with high humus content the application rates are maximal, while sandy loam and low-humus soils require lower rates.
Compatibility
Can be used in tank mixes.
Working solution pH requirements
from 6 to 8
Application precautions
After spraying, inter-row cultivation must be excluded, as it will destroy the protective screen
Working solution consumption rate
200-300 l/ha.

Mechanism of action

Terbuthylazine destroys chloroplasts and suppresses photosynthesis. As a result, respiration is halted and the energy balance is disrupted, which impairs the weed's overall vital activity and leads to its death. In soil application it is absorbed by the roots. The characteristic symptoms of terbuthylazine's action are yellowing of the vegetative mass followed by dieback (necrosis).

S-metolachlor is distinguished by high herbicidal activity against annual grass and some broadleaf weeds. S-metolachlor acts on germinating weeds. The product's active ingredient penetrates mainly into the shoot tissues. It actively inhibits cell development and division by disrupting lipid metabolism. As a result of S-metolachlor's action, weed seedlings stop growing and die.
